Thousands and thousands of girls
are abandoned and orphaned, forced to wander the streets, work in brothels or live in shelters. Many are abused or raped.
Shibu and Bini Zachariah, have long desired to reach out to the poor and orphans in India.
The Girls Home was dedicated in October, 2013. The first and second floors are now completed. Orphan girls are living in the new home and many more are waiting to be rescued.
“We want this to be like a home, not an institution. That is the vision of Bini and me – that these kids will be able to come back from school and have a place to relax and feel at home. All we need are additional funds to take in more girls.” -BINI (DIRECTOR)
